While coming home from dropping off my grandsons in Columbia, MO, on Thursday, I was again reminded of how much I despise "adult businesses". It offends me to even see their signs. And the signs are all along I-70 between St. Louis and KC.
It reminds me of how the lust (definition: "I want it and I want it now") of the flesh (whether it's sex, greed, popularity, power, fun, or a host of other things) ALWAYS enslaves the people involved. The promise of anything positive is an absolute total LIE from the pit of hell itself. There is absolutely NO satisfaction or contentment that lasts. Only deception and pain.
SO, it has been my practice for some time - everytime I pass a sign - to pray that that establishment will go broke and for salvation for all those involved in it. If there are no young ones in the car with us, I pray out loud - otherwise, I pray a silent prayer in the name and power and blood of Jesus. Join me if you like. "The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." James 5:16
